Short ride, Jindera, Howlong and Barnawatha for lunch.

2023-04-15 Saturday – UPDATE – Stands up at 10am – This is due to the short ride and the Pub not opening until 12pm.

This ride will be ideal for any of our old and precious motorcycles. A short run for about 110kms round trip on flat roads. We will have the backup trailer in tow as a just-in-case.

The plan is to leave Albury via a “Deanie” then headed into Jindera for a surprise stop. Leaving Jindera with a sneaky back track on the outskirts then a sharp right with small twisted before some long straights into Howlong. Following a count of the bridges into Victoria we will be heading towards Barnawatha Pub for a counter meal – Trevor ( the publican )  is looking forward to seeing all our old bikes. Once fully fueled up on food, we will head on home with another sneaky manouvrier left onto the old Barnawatha road AKA Stock-route into Albury.

Jindera Museum Tea Rooms

The Jindera Museum Tea Room was built in 1874 and was the original Wagners Store, making it one of the oldest buildings in the area.

With the Museum’s 50th anniversary in 2018, the Tea Room is most likely the longest serving (albeit intermittent) Refreshments Room in the greater region.

It is the epicenter of classic country home baked Devonshire Teas and other home baked goodies and is open every Sunday.
