Kenny Blake Memorial

This monument to Ken Blake was unveiled in Strathalbyn by the South Australian Governor Hieu Van Le AC on Sunday October 28, 2018.
I found this memorial to Kenny Blake at Strathalbyn in SA, which is 30km south of Mount Barker, and adjacent to McLaren Vale wine region. There is also Gilberts Motor Museum in town that is worth a look.
Out of school holidays and public holidays and mid-week, there was no traffic on very scenic windy roads mostly at 80kph.
The monument was created by James Stewart, a local artist living in Goolwa.
Located on the corner of High Street and Grey Street in Strathalbyn it is an intriguing piece of sculpture made entirely from scrap automotive tools, motorcycle parts and miscellaneous other pieces of metal welded together.
