General Meeting – Albury Wodonga Motorcycle Enthusiasts Club (Inc)

1. Welcome & Attendees:
Michael Sarroff welcomed and opened the meeting at 7.32pm with a few news tips and reminder of Double demerits during school holidays!

Attendance: 59 Members. 6 Visitors.

9. Editor/Web Manager’s Report:

Michaels feature bike – Kawasaki GPZ 900R. (From TOP GUN).

Web site is seeing its’ normal trend. Visitors too the website is peaking before rides and meetings. 267 Unique visitors this month. A few great new content items added. I recapped on the List of Project Ideas for members to view, consider and add to.

10. Welfare Officer’s Report:
Michael Yerbury, Welfare Officer – No report Mike- absent.

11. Ride & Rally Report:

Neil Hillas – Butterball Rally – 14/15 October 2023.

$50 for Riders including Breakfast, Badge and T Shirt.

$15 For Pillion (T shirt and Badge need to be ordered, additional cost).

This will be a 200km Saturday, Sunday 150km. Bus service for any members or visitors wanting to travel on the bus ($10). The bus will leave the Wodonga Services Club. Travel to the Dinner on the Saturday Night and return to Wodonga. Please let Neil know asap.

Application Forms for the Rally will be available soon.

Rex Beard : Very interesting account of the Walla Walla Motoring Club – Show and Shine ( Rex Winning an award for all his noise !)

John McInnes: Wet Ride – 6 Riders rode from the starting point to Holbrook Pub, rained most of the way. Stopped at Henty and then back to Holbrook. Good Ride!

Stewie Mclean : Ride 4/6/23 – A sunny Sunday with 21 Bikes, 2 pillions, 2 in the back up and 4 Club plated including a jaffa kwaka 900. Headed through Jindera, Gerogery, Morven, Cookadinia and Mangoplah. Very Bumpy Route! A brief stop at The Rock before arriving at the Railway Hotel in Lockhardt. A couple of long tables were set up in the dining Room and everyone enjoyed their meals. Toni and Annie serve well recommended pub meals and Indian curries.

Fundraiser for the Ournie Hall 16/7/23 – Leaving from opposite BP at 10.00am. We will travel the River road to Jingellic and then further on towards Tumbarumba before turning Right to Ournie. Approx. 180kms. Kym and Michael Roach are hosting this fundraiser. Different meals, casseroles, and refreshing ales will be available for the riders to purchase.

12. Networking and Outside Clubs:
Elsie, Networking Committee Chair – Absent.

Main objective of this group is to share news and events with other clubs.

Upcoming Event : Chris Deanshaw (President :Hog Group). To celebrate the 120th Anniversary of Harley. There will be a Truck travelling through this area on the 12th of August Starting at 9.00am with 16 New Feature Bikes. Everyone is welcome to come along and inspect or have a ride on a New Bike! This will be happening at the Barnawartha track.

Doug Flack – Registration and Renewals – Doug will do these anytime, But please call Doug prior to advise him. Make sure you have your membership card with you (this is a requirement for VIC

Roads). Check your renewals as VIC Roads has made an error with the dates – check when paying as they will issue new correct paperwork.
